First Day Of The New Season

Well I got out this morning for an hour before work to wet a line and say that the season has officially started. I got down to the river at 9am and tackled up. There had been rain overnight and it was still a bit drizzly this morning. The river is at a descent level with plenty of riffles. I fished upstream for about a ½ mile. There were some rises and I had a couple of fish take a look but turn away at the last minute. Most of the fish that I saw this morning were around the 6-8oz mark.
I am glad to say that the season has started and I am looking forward to the rest of the season.
