Weekly Round Up (Week Two)

Following all the torrential rain we have had over the last few days I went down the river for a picture. Taken on Sunday morning this pic shows the river in almost flood condition. The river has risen about 6feet due to the rain and snow melt from the Lake District Fells.

The area in the picture is at the lower end of the town section, which is free to fish. There is normally a couple of nice pools just below the bridge, where the fishing is very good. it is where the Sea Trout and Salmon tend to pool up waiting on the water levels to rise to enable them to get further up river to spawn.
