Weekly Round Up (Week Four)
Another week over and the river has now returned to normal levels for the time of year. The area in the foreground of the picture is where the council with the backing of the Environment Agency reduced the height of the island that had been created by rocks and stone being washed down in the floods. This was done to ease the river levels when in flood condition to stop the river bursting it’s banks and causing damage to the surrounding green spaces and houses close by the river.
