Week eleven and the New Brown Trout Season has now started. The river is at a good fishing level. There has been a little rain which has raised the levels; the fish are rising freely although the water is still a bit on the cold side. When I went out on Tuesday to mark the start of the new season there were a few fish around the 6-8oz mark with one or two having a look at my flies and turning away at the last moment.
The pic is of the Kent near the Parish Church where the fishing is free. This is a good area when the conditions are right for Sea-Trout, which I will be having a go at later this season.
