Weekly Round Up (Week Twenty Seven & Twenty Eight)

Not been out on the river much due to work and family commitments. I did manage to get out on Saturday for a walk along the river. The weather has been glorious with wall to wall sunshine until Sunday when the heavens opened. It has been raining off & on now for three days, the rain torrential at times. The river was very low on Saturday as you can see in the picture above. The picture below was taken today and the river is up about 12inches and has a slight colouration. it should be in perfect condition tomorrow if the rain stays away.

Weekly Round Up (Week Twenty Six)

This evening I went for a walk down the river with the kids who wanted to catch minnows with their nets. The weather has been glorious for the last week and very hot and humid. The levels are very low at the moment with only 6-8 inches of water in long stretches of the river. The kids loved the evening and caught quite a few minnows, the biggest of which was only about 1 ½”.
